Hi, I'm Tacie, and oh my gosh, I am SO glad you're here!

Okay, let's talk. Because if you found your way to this little corner of the internet, there's a really good chance we are going to be best friends.

I've been a romance reader my whole life, introduced to the genre by my grandmother, who would swap paperback romances with teenage me and the two of us would absolutely lose our minds over them every time we got together. She gave me the reading bug and honestly? No notes. Best thing that ever happened to me. 

Growing up queer in the Midwest though, representation was not exactly abundant. I didn't even know queer romance existed until my twenties. This was before BookTok, before bookstagram, before anyone was out here shouting about sapphic fiction from the rooftops. If you didn't already know about it, you were just... missing it. And I was missing it for years. 

Then I found sapphic romance and I genuinely have not recovered. Every trope. Every slow burn. Every "they were roommates." I am obsessed and it is my entire personality.

Word of mouth became my whole thing — friends in the queer community reaching out for recs, me sending a list back before they finished the sentence. Then three years ago I had a spectacular weekend at SteamyLitCon with my two best friends — the first signing I'd ever been to with so much queer representation, so many sapphic authors I absolutely adore, all in one room celebrating these stories out loud. I came home with a ridiculous stack of books and one very clear thought: take a chance on something that makes you nervous.

So I started #sterlingsapphicreads. And I kept showing up. And three years later the bookstagram turned into a website, a merch shop, and a whole community I am so incredibly proud of.

This website is the next step in that journey, and it's built entirely around one thing: amplifying sapphic voices and getting these stories into the hands of readers who will absolutely devour them.
